It is indeed.

It's lovely and I am very torn but, at the end of the day, I am just not using it. I went to it today to start it for the 1st time in 4 weeks. Choke out, ignition on to Prime the fuel pump and it started first turn.

Well its a 91 car apparently but has a classic badge on the back. These, I believe, didn't appear until the p38 had started produciton so should only be on M and N plate cars.
A custom paint job would be through the autobiography scheme wouldn't it. Now that is something you'd mention in the ad.
I'm calling respray. Not sure what a Vogue S is either. SE maybe.

Don't all SEs have leather?
Maybe it's just a Vogue and he's called it an "S" because it's more... "Special"?

Morning, i am after some properly beard levels of assistance please? I need to try a new MAF on my 91 V8 RRC. Its the latest in a long line of items to eliminate!

All the replacements i can find dont seem to match the part number on mine, which also seems to fit various Jags.

Can anyone help with what a new replacement part number might be? I can go by linking chassic numbers to parts but was hoping one of you all might know. The OEM parts are eyewateringly expensive so it might be a £60 ebay special as im not sure if its worth buying another 25 year old one to try?

My part number is
Lucas 73242a

Manufactured 06/91

Also has Hitachi stamped on it.

Some lovely looking bits of kit on this thread by the way!
Lucas 3AM according to the workshop manual. (1990-94).
Subject of much discussion on various LR - and other - forums!.
The general opinion is that the later 5AM is interchangable with the 3AM but not the other way round.

might also investigate a different exhaust. Should it have 1 or 2 outlets at the back?
Any chance that that might be a stainless steel system? If in doubt try a magnet on the rear silencer & the tail pipe. It shouldn't stick.

Tailgate rubber seals can be difficult. I tried a Britpart one (I know, I know but nothing else available) & it was very poor. The tubing part that seals against the tailgates is considerably thicker than the original & whilst the lower tailgate can crush it the top can't so I ended up using bits of both.

Thanks - can’t put it on my multi-car policy because it’s too tall to go in the garage in town...

They take about one minute to remove and the best way to check is to borrow one from a car that’s running well. You can sit on eBay for months soaking up supply and never knowing whether any of them actually work.

Once they’ve started to go, most people don’t bother and replace them with an Aluminium one...
https://www.famousfour.co.uk/new_parts/partslist?v...

The steel frame tends to rot from the inside out, so by the time you notice it’s too late.

If you have an ok one that’s just scruffy, then most good body shops will be able to do it for you.

Can one of you expand on what this is? Sounds intriguing. Is it a DOHC set up on a RV8 block?
