2 Classic Renault Alpines Ready for the Summer
Discussion
The new tax rules suit me great. Being able to tax for a couple of months at a time without having to fork out £200 and then having to claim back what you don't use. So have been fettling these 2 to be the first used over the summer. GTA is the only fuel injected non-turbo around has far as I know, offers great value for money against a similar condition, Lotus Esprit/Excel. The 5 is intercooled and has lots of trick bits.
Great to see so many Alpines on PH. I've loved them since my best friend gave me a Majorette A310 police car when we were in primary school. I'm seriously considering getting one, but there are so few for sale at any time. I think I've seen fewer than 10 in the flesh but this one caught my eye, it's been for sale for the guts of a year now I think, would any of you guys know it?

Nearer to two years I think. Has to be worth a look as it looks nice with low mileage. Some club members will reel off all the faults they can suffer from, but no substitute to giving it a good look over.http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C422874
Car club members are like football club supporters - their own biggest critics, ever eager to slagg off their own team!

If the reg. Ends XBX then that's my old car! I bought it new in 1989.Here it is during a blast around France in Spring 1990.
And another when I found it, looking rather sorry for itself, two or three years ago at a Sunday Service.
You can just make out in the first photo that originally the car had a Renault badge on the nose I changed it to an Alpine one a few months into my ownership.
