A thing of beauty is a joy forever. But I find myself sadly bereft of a spare 22K. Thus I must pass. I am bummed out by this.
I do indeed want a Magenta Stag. I also want a ... but I want doesn't get.
As Sir appears not to have the requisite readies, and as we all know how much Sir loves an MGB, might this do instead? I do indeed want a Magenta Stag. I also want a ... but I want doesn't get.

If I ever did get an MGB, I would want it to be the sttiest possible one, a miserable example of a miserable car; so a late brown one with rubber bumpers would be spot on. Better still one from California with all the emissions blah, making a slow and dreadful car even more slow and dreadful. World of Win.
I add that the Dolly did over 600 miles last weekend, 500 of them in one day, and the only thing that went wrong is that one of the car's two fuses blew out (knocking out the fuel and temperature gauges, tachometer, wipers, indicators and some other stuff). This happened just five minutes before we got home after the 500 mile trip. I replaced the 35 amp glass fuse, and it hasn't blown again so far. I think that the car was just hot and bothered after a long day of mostly quite fast driving.

I also want a new bespoke suit from Kilgour, a ski lodge in Argentiere, an apartment on Central Park West, a date with Eva Green, a Democrat in the White House, and Theresa May on a permanent walking holiday in Wales; but I want doesn't get.
Unfortunately, she suggested lunch. It has only just ended.
Tomorrow is another day.
The Dolly has been more or less my daily driver since April. At present, its only snags are some play in one UJ at the front, the exhaust still knocking on rear suspension, and a few small bubbles on the leading edge ahead of the bonnet. The car seems to get faster and faster the more I drive it. It must have felt astonishing in the mid 70s.

Not sure I agree. TRs are a bit too obvious for my taste. Also they live, by and large, in dehumidified garages and come out only when it's sunny.Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
