Impromptu BL line up
Discussion
Thought I'd post this here (already put it in supercars/rarities) as may be of interest as it's local but I cycled past a Jaguar XJC 5.3 Convertible today in Towersey, never seen one before or knew they existed, similar to the one in the link:

The car in question had original wheels and a dark blue/black leather interior and looked in very good order.
Hope it's still there for a photo tomorrow, can't believe I didn't take the time to stop for a photo even though I was in a hurry, even google had trouble with this one!
Also, saw another SD1 very similar to yours in Sydenham but it had a private plate on and looked in less good order than yours!

The one in Sydenham may be the very rusty 2300 that someone uses as a daily driver. I have seen it parked at the Oxford Tube stop at Lewknor. There is also a white V8 SD1 in the area, that may live in Thame, and gets used a lot. There's another yellow Dolly Sprint in Risborough. As the XJC was a factory cut job in hard top form, I wonder if a convertible version (presumably a dealer conversion) would be a bit floppy!

BreadvanPlease dont show me these things especially when what looks like a minty is only £3K, I am constantly surprised at how low cars like this are valued just because they dont have a Ford badge.
I saw 3 of these at Tatton Park the other year and there was much droolage.

I had CBW818V - a midnight blue Cortina 2.0GLS with the fishnet headrests, two front spotlamps and the S pack suspension. CBW is an Oxford reg so that would have been sup[plied by Hartwells in Kidlington no doubt. A fine looking car.Breadvan72 said:

I agree. Throwing in the Lotus for good measure, I have bought a whole world of fun and trouble for the price of one boring modern car or one posh classic.
The more interesting vehicles you own, the more likely that one example is functional at any one time. There is an issue with deciding which to drive if more than one is operational, a rota system is quite useful.Richie Slow said:

Hmmmmm. I toyed with the idea of an Austin 1300 GT, but now I really want this!
