I would just like to add my appreciation for your threads, they have been much enjoyed as have the various occasions that I have spotted various members of the fleet out and about.
Good luck with whatever lies ahead.

Clear out continues - I sold the XJS and also two motorbikes, and have just sold the Dolomite. There is a bloke umming and ahhing about the Lancia but I think he may well buy it. I think I may keep the Lotus, although someone left a note asking about it on the windscreen the other day. It currently has a problem with its driver's door that needs fixing before sale anyway.

I will keep the Sherpa van and lend it to my brother long term as he is a keen festival goer. I gave him the UMM for Christmas. The one remaining motorbike might be going on a mystery journey, but of that more anon.

Spring must be approaching because, after getting very little response to the adverts over Xmas, in the last week or so the phone and email have been pinging

I'm dithering between banned from driving and entering witness protection. If he starts selling off his furniture, we'll know wink

BV has had an epiphany, and is selling off his old tat to make room for his new collection - great Eastern bloc cars of the 20th century.
Trabants, Wartburgs, Zapophrets, and a commissar class Zil limo for the weekend.

He will be the first spacex astronaut on Mars

I think they felt that having legal representation on Mars would help in their claim for ownership in the name of Musk. All hail the great Musk.

I wish that I could claim that sell off compelled by all of the above reasons, especially driving bans for egregious hoonage (or middle lane hat wearing), long prison sentences for gross moral turpitude, long spells in rehab, and so on, but alas the reasons are much more mundane and to do with relocations and what not. I may however keep the Lotus and the Morini and the Sherpa. Ii have been looking at ads for other things recently but MUST RESIST.

Dolomite now with new owners in Ealing. Two delightful Sikh dudes whose dad had a Sprint in the 70s. I have first refusal if they ever decide to sell it.

Some pics of the remaining wrecks, including the UMM which is now my brother's. Note dodgy tape on Lotus (reasons explained in its own thread in Readers' Heaps).

Loads Of Taped Up ste. But NB tape bought in shop very near to Hethel, so is correct Lotus tape as specified by Chapman in person.

I think I'd keep that one.

Bet it was sad to see the Sprint go. That was just lovely and they're astonishing value compared to Escorts.

The Lotus would be the one I’d be keeping.
