Another mystery car
Discussion
This is the message I recieved. The image he is talking about has been removed from my pages.
As far as I am aware, I've not named the person or run this person or his business down.
The image in question on my web pages has been removed by somebody. There was no mention of the source of the image or anybody's name.
Edited to remove names.

This came up a short while ago and had me stumped. Looks very Jaguarish with a hint of Figoni and Falashi. I know what it is now but I thought I'd put up a photo. One of one apparently.
First thing I noticed was fake knock off wires, yuck.Oh, I think Stuart needs to dry his eyes & get real.

Just to let followers of this thread know. A chap with a name starting with S has again found me elsewhere and is threatening all sorts. "Somebody has scanned the car and produced a 3D version".
If all of your photo's on this site are also marked as your own copyright (by default, I presume), then there may be some scope for confusion, though it appears obvious to me (based on the above quote) that you are not claiming the work was yours.
However, if he does not want you to mention his name or business, then he appears to be asking you to apologise to an anonymous entity for an invisible picture. This seems a rather pointless gesture, but it would appear to do what has been requested given all the conditions he has laid-down.
You could post a statement there, and here for that matter, something along the lines of.....
"I should like to clarify that I (insert appropriate user name) am not the creator of the 3D model in the removed image(s).
This was created by a person/business that now wishes to remain anonymous.
I apologise for any misunderstanding this may have caused".
I remain confused as to why he thinks you have "run them and their business down". As far as I can see, you have simply expressed a perfectly valid opinion. Personally, I wouldn't want to use any business that made such seemingly unsubstantiated claims.
The email that he sent...
If he feels he has a genuine, worthwhile complaint, then would it not be for HIS solicitors to contact you direct?
If he can convince a solicitor to do this, then it would be up to you how you choose to deal with the issue. For example, you might clarify/apologise (though he has seemingly made this difficult), you could ignore, or you could ask a solicitor for advice.
In any event, he has not taken this route, instead chosing to send what may amount to a potentially harassing/threatening email.

Agree. His complaint isn't against your solicitor, it's against you. So he should be addressing any formal complaint to you for you to take whatever response you think is appropriate.
(Any posts that I made on this thread before were a long time ago but were along the lines of "That is never based on a Sunbeam Alpine!. Look at the height of the people around the car. This car is very small (and not far away ). From a very crude comparison of the wheel size v wheelbase it's about the size of a Midget/Sprite.)

Before I do it has anyone drawn in the ‘rest’ of the photo, like, showing a whole Thames van for example.. clutching at straws but it might add perspective on the scale of the mystery car
Not that I remember. The original picture ends at the side window of the Thames. I think some have removed the lady who is blocking the view of the car.
