Any story on that mgf site ?
All I know is that they've been there a few years and it's in a small village near Mold, north Wales.I have never understood why people drive them, especially men. (It was a very nice colour though)

Pair of fiat 124s rusting away, indonesia... surely they'd have fared a lot worse if parked up like this in England. ?????
Manual and RHD too. What makes the 124 special "special", anyone know?
In South Africa, I had a 124 Special 'T' which had the twin cam 1.6 engine and high backed seats.Manual and RHD too. What makes the 124 special "special", anyone know?
From memory, I think the 124 special either had the fancy seats or the twin cam engine but not both.

It's a good start. I had an MGF and it was only slightly better than the Mk1 Ford Escort 1100 I had 20 years previously. Horrid car.

We bought a brand new VVC around ‘97. Anthracite with cream. Nice combo. Never had any HGF issues and put 75k on the clock. Wasn’t a rocket ship. Even put an aftermarket quad exhaust on it (not sure what I thinking back then ) Wanted a two seated but it was either this, an MX5 or a LHD Barchetta at the time. Murdered on depreciation come time to sell but hoping they’ll be more sought after in years to come especially the limited editions and anniversary versions.I have never understood why people drive them, especially men. (It was a very nice colour though)

I'm seriously struggling to believe there's a big market for Westminster's (especially as interest in domestic cars of that era is startling to dwindle)
Unless you are nicking one to banger race and the organisers want to see a V5 and chassis plate.NorthernSky][url said:

UK 124s had a 1,200cc OHV engine but 124 Specials had a larger 1,438cc version of the OHV engine and IIRC cloth inserts on the seats. The original Special T had a 1,438cc Twin-Cam with 80bhp but later Special T models had a 1.6 litre twin-cam (1,592cc and 95bhp I think).
My Dad bought a 1970 Fiat 125 in 1972 (that became mine in 1977) so I absorbed all this from Motor Show brochures.
