He bought it because my Mum had learnt to drive in one after countless attempts in other cars. (Lady instructor probably helped too).
I drove it a few times, awful thing, terminal understeer on a roundabout for example. I was used to MG Midgets and Hillman Imps. And to think he traded a Cortina Mk 2 1300 for the awful German lump.
