More neglected VWs. These are actually for sale as runners

This Ford Escort RS1600i has been here for as long as I can remember (at least since I knew what one was) I'd not been past it in many years so I wondered if it was still there. I was amazed to see that it was! The car not for sale notices in the windows weren't there years ago when I last saw it. Anyone who has been to Romford will have seen it. It's at the end of a road right next to the ring road.

It must be worth a fair bit, as it's a real one.
At one point more RS1600 were for sale than ford built. hehe

The Saudis also used some of these Volvos as patrol cars. Though I doubt this one actually caught a Stratos.

It looks parked, not abandoned?

That is insanely rare! They only ever made 39 in the first place. (Looks like a black Mercedes C126 SEC behind it by the way).

If the Treser Quattro was too subtle and understated for you, Kersher would do you a conversion on the conversion!

Sport Quatto nose with 928 indicators/lights, super wider arches, comedy wheel/tryes, Testarossa side strakes.... ah the 80s

crazy, but somehow I like this one, not the blue one, this black one looks way cooler :-)

@those 928s, wow, great pictures, never dared to buy one afraid for cost with repairs.
btw I also spot a BW Z3 in that last picture :-)

This has been here for a very long time, early 90s at least.
The Scimitar must be in the lead as the most common left to rot classic.

Probably helped by the fact that they can't rust (at least not the bits you can see).

God they're ugly things. They make the sport Quattro short thing look nice.

(That said, I've probably got all the parts needed to fix that up on the shelf... scratchchin )

Sadly I reckon this one is well beyond saving, hasn't moved an inch in 15 years. When the cover's not obscuring it the interior is pretty horrendous and I suspect its close proximity to the coast will have accelerated the decay in the bits that can't be seen easily....

Amazing how such a handsome car can be butchered to look so bloody awful! Like Zagato aston martins.
