Would love to know the full story.
Probably fairly typical of the 28 days later, post apocalyptic nature of Japan, which many have no idea of. It's a similar story with housing, as well as businesses. Owner dies, family don't want it as it's a worthless liability, so it's abandoned or bulldozed, ending up as a vacant plot with a neat layer of grey gravel on it.

I know this is primarily a picture thread rather than video, but I thought effspot's latest might be of interest. Fairly typical Japanese abandoned stuff. And nothing gets taken despite being by the kerb.

Its a shame a great video of an abandoned dealership with fascinating wrecks was tainted by a load of supercar meh stuff. 5:38 in...

I used to live in Southend 20 odd years ago. Every kept woman in Leigh-on-Sea seemed to have one of those Figaros. I think there was a local importer who must have made a killing. I went back last year and they seem to be popular once again.
here in the Netherlands there is even a Figaro dealer... for many years now, they also do trips and so on, see there website>https://www.figarocars.nl/

Were they all grey imports? The reason I ask is, when I worked in Wembley Park, the Architect Partnership next door had a nice little sideline selling Figaros. An odd look, but profitable, I suppose.
Pretty sure they were never officially imported, nor any of the other weird things that were built on the Micra floor pan like Mitsouka Viewt, or other 90s oddities like the S-Cargo etc. The Japanese car market then was reminiscent of the British one in the 50s, a mad profusion of odd, eccentric, crap and brilliant all at once which faded away over the next decade.uk66fastback said:
An S-Cargo went for peanuts last weekend at the ACA auction - needed a bit of work but what classic doesn’t?

In fairness, I'd have thought £2,000 plus for a very tired looking, mechanically humdrum oddity was quite a lot. The thing also doesn't appear to be watertight (look at the roof)... Snail

Not really, '71 on were not lookers.I nearly bought one in the 1980's but even back then the rust it had was more than I wanted to tackle.
