I had a Mini Jem ( a much prettier rival to the Marcos) for years and after taking out the passenger seat even managed to move house in mine once.
Surely more than one trip though, unless you are indeed Mr. Stuart Little laugh

I'm not sure anyone would call me little these days!.... But yes, even then it took a few trips.

Handily arranged to show the P6's torsion bar suspension.

Both cars within 100 yards of each other in Banbury. Maybe just neglected rather than rotting.

Its not torsion bar suspension. It has coil springs, but they are horizontal and placed high against the bulkhead. You can just make one out. The reason?? Plenty of room in thr engine bay for the gas turbine which Rover was working on at the time...

MOT ran out on the Rover last September and it's taxed until this August. So maybe undergoing some lengthy repairs (outside though)

The MOT ran out last November, I think it's safe to say that's the end of its life!

Is it of any significance, other than being an old Audi?

None at all, completely worthless, my wife had a 2.6 Cabriolet about 10 years ago, not great to drive but a very pretty car.

About right there value wise! As a 2.0 FWD, there's not much of a market, but they're also becoming very rare now which is a shame as most are broken due to their lack of value, they are very well built cars. S2 coupes are strong money now and the 2.8CQ is on the rise, but they always were rare so finding one is a bit difficult. Aside from the Quattros, any of the B3/B4 model series are worth very little.

Ah, yes, just a 4 pot 2WD example. However, I'm always pleased to see this shape Coupe so I posted it without much level-headed consideration. We had a lovely 5 cylinder 2.3 Quattro years ago that obviously clouded my judgement about classics.

The annoying/sad thing is that they're actually very good cars. Only about two things go wrong on them – heater matrix (pig to change) and saggy headlining (easy but messy). Everything else is easily fixable. They don't rust, they just go out of fashion and get neglected. But my daughter has one and it gets a lot of positive attention. The later 4 cylinder cars are lot nicer to drive than the FWD 5-pots, which sound lovely but handle hideously, IMO.

That's because computerised MOTs didn't start till much later than its last time on the road.

Were these still current in 1981 X reg ? or possibly re-imported from somewhere else ?

They made the T2 up until 1980, so its possible it's just a very late example/registration.

Looks very tidy for a T2 that's been under a tarp; I'd imagine most of its years of slumber have been spent under a roof rather than sitting under canvas.
