MOT expired in August 2013 - it has about 95k miles on it.

MOT history doesn't look too bad either.

You need to join the forum 'autoste'. You will fit in perfectly! I go on now and then - some very clever and interesting guys on there with the weirdest of cars. Talbot Tagoras are flavour of the month.
Flavour of the decade, more like!

It's a long story along the line's of "I bet it's a rotten 1.8 Carlton" when first discussed, anyhow it now resides in a museum.

A 90's Plus 8 in decent nick is worth well over £30k, probably nearer 40. What a shame.

What's the point? A Lotus Carlton is for driving, looking at them is a 'ooh look, a Carlton with a bodykit' experience.

Interestingly that comes back as a GSI 24 valve but with a 3.6 engine, it would appear to be a GSI that's had a Lotus transplant.

It's coming back as a GSI, I think someone has reshelled a Lotus into a GSI.

All Lotus Carltons were effectively GSi's that Lotus converted: unless you can check the key components on the car & the VIN, I doubt the internet will help much.

'Old Saab' lovers out there, here's one to get you weeping .

I just got the camera out of my car window in time!

Oh yeah, that's the scrapper's lorry it's leaving on.

Never mind the scabby old Saab, that's a very tidy old Transit.
Glad I’m not the only one that thought that

Interesting. What production engine has a capacity of 3598cc? Google throws up two or three: Porsche V6 (Cayenne) and Volkswagen VR6 (3.6 FSI), Jaguar V6, but surely only a madman would try to shoehorn any of these into an old Carlton?
