What are the other 2 behind the Vauxhall? Middle one's a Princess 2200 HLS isn't it? What's the white one?
The white one looks like a Hillman Avenger Estate. Its roof looks deformed.Strela said:

I've said this before, but I'll say it again. How do you know this stuff?????? How can you tell it's a 2200 HLS from that photo?Edited by Horsetan on Saturday 30th December 00:49

And square headlights!
Not square. If my memory of the brochure is correct, they are trapezoidal. My dad had an N reg 18-22 series with four headlights and a slightly lifted section in the middle of the grille, kind of similar to the wolesley version. I think this version was only made for a short time at the start of production and was soon dropped.

If you had the raised middle bit then maybe it was a Morris (rather than the Austin or Wolesley). It all changed again when the range was rationalised to just the Austin and the model designations became 1800HL, 2200HLS etc. I'm a bit hazy on the details. I remember some friends of my parents had an 1800HL back in the day in that 70's BL babysick yellow. Compared to dad's mk 1 VW Passat, it was huge.

You missed the one
- because they are sh*t and something broke on it!
I had one, really clean, ran great, gearbox crapped out.
Not financially viable to repair.
Lovely cars when they are working but absolute nightmare when they're not - because they are sh*t and something broke on it!

Appears this one is a manual diesel with over 200k so obviously had some good use before being parked up for whatever reason.
