The owner really needs to sell this to me. For some reason I think it's awesome.
Mercedes Munster Mobile.
Looks like a mid 60's W111 220S. Surprisingly popular conversion considering the fact that you'd have to take an angle grinder to the equivalent of an S Class - very extravagant way to make your last journey!

A good one will go for £20k+ these days.

"A good one will go for £20k+ these days": Eventually! - I suspect the market for them is quite small! wink

Excellent theme and candidate for a hotrod/dragster. Probably made of rust but irrelevant if it's to have a tube frame, loads of space in the back for slicks and a big axle, turbos hanging out through the tombstones?

Very much feeling the love for that and as an old hearse I don't think I'd feel any guilt in "ruining" it either.

Not moved for years

And I suspect this hasn’t either...(apologies I have no idea why but it won’t load the correct way up..)

Hi all, long time lurker
Lots of abandoned cars near me (South East)
Went for a drive round today to the ones I could remember
I wish I'd taken photos years ago, as there were a few very rotten classics near me that had been there for years that have now seem to have moved - MGB GT (very very rotten 20yrs plus on the grass verge) and a white AX GT that had been sat up for years but disappeared recently.
I also know of a little trove with a few sapphire cosworths in that have been rotting for over 10 years. If I can get access I'll get a few snaps.
Enjoy

And I suspect this hasn’t either...
I noticed the four bolt holes in the A panel for the exterior door hinges and shape of the door aperture and realised it's either a Mk1 or Mk2 shell which would make it very valuable to someone, even in that condition! A photo of the rear end would confirm which mark it is... is it a recent photo...?

Edited to add.... if the paint is the factory original then it's more than likely a Mk1 shell, however, the darker shade of blue inside looks like Island Blue which was used on Mk1s (from 1965 to 1967) and Mk2s (from 1967 to 1970).

Mark 1 Rover 800 lights.

Not naked as I write, just boxers but they are my “house” ones so hole in the gusset.

Took it over the new year - story apparently is that it belongs to an ex rally driver who ‘intends’ to restore it but is now quite elderly...

They don't look like Rover 800 lenses

The Murena was launched in 1980, 6 years before the Rover 800, so it's unlikely.

They are Talbot Horizon rear lamps, with custom lenses, as stated above.

You get extra points if you can identify who assembled that model of Talbot Horizon.
