Not surprised, who would want it? A base model E36, rotten as anything? There are plenty of good ones still on the road...

Cortina MK II

Looks to be a base model I think.

Have been meaning to stop for a look but keep forgetting.

Derelict house with a Series 2 or 3 Jag in the garage.

Looks as though someone has had at least one of the rear lights.

An old Humber Snipe I found on my travels

Road tax expired september 1981!

Looks like an Imperial.
+1 yes

The vinyl roof says Imperial to me (Same car basically, just in a fancier trim level )

If it is an Imperial, then it'll be even rarer!
Well, that and it says "Imperial" on the door! laugh
You've obviously got better eyes than me! hehe

Probably more due to viewing it on a PC rather than a phone.

Hopefully this works.

Cortina?
Not necessarily a base model, it could be a super but not a 1600E or GT although it could be one of the last MK II's at H reg, there weren't many J reg ones.
Nevertheless, a brilliant garden ornament about the same age as the house I'd guess, perhaps the car and house were bought around the same time by the current resident who is now old and buggered??

Cortina wasn't there 10 years ago on google street view - only turned up about three or four years ago. Might have been in the garage before then though, who knows?

Condition of the car has gone downhill along with the house ...

I didn't get the reg number of the car. Has anyone checked the MOT history?

It's not quite the base model. It's the 318 - there would have been a 316 below that. And there rear head rests means this may have been an SE model as well. In a 1990 company car park, this would have been valuable currency!

My first company car was a brand spanking E36 316i. The electric window motor was more powerful than what was under the bonnet but bloody hell did I love it!

Electric windows in your FIRST company car?! Your boss must have thought the sun shine out of your arse'ole!

I had to make do with an L-reg Vauxhall Astra Merit 1.7 Diesel. No turbo, no power-steering, no air-con and certainly no electric windows. In fact it was devoid of any merit whatsoever.

The man had a jewish racing gold Vauxhall Senator - clearly someone of great taste and good judgement!

You had it good. I had a B-reg blue Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6L.

When my boss got his brand new E-reg 320i I had his old C-reg 2.0 Cavalier GLS, and felt like a king!

This poor thing has been sitting there for quite some time. It looks better in the pictures than it does in real life. MOT and tax ran out around 3 years ago. It's at the back of a used car lot so it could probably be bought and saved if anyone was so inclined.

Spotted in Belper today, MOT expired 2015 so been there a few years. In a private carpark so no doubt will remain there, rotting away.
