Apologies in advance as I'm 66 and the OP is probably less than half my age but I always find it odd that on a motoring forum someone doesn't recognise a popular British sports car of the 1960's
Whatever you do, don't join the FB group about "cars you don't see any more pre - 94" - almost every post is "don't know what this is". I haven't figured out whether the comments are real, or a running joke I'm not party to. I suspect the latter as many of the pictures have a visible badge, or a registration number that will reveal make and model at a click.

But you're right, I guess that most will have an era that they know, and eras that they don't. I don't recognise anything but the most commonplace 30s cars, and struggle with modern stuff now too.

Saw that Eventer on Facebook as well earlier. Hopefully not too badly damaged, I imagine the current values will allow enough to repair it. Looked like front end damage only, so (if I'm correct) standard XJS body parts rather than the specially-made or adapted parts from the back end.

I am a member of that FB group, sadly. And can concur with your post. All manner of common cars from the 60s/70s have been put there with people not having a clue. Really old stuff I've no idea - 30s/40s etc, but anything from then on I'm okay with, mainstream stuff we'd have seen on teh roads in the 50s/and onwards etc. Modern stuff is just all silver/grey blobs with little glass on show to me. Can't tell one from another ...

Saw this Reliant Scimitar in Fort William yesterday, a ‘B’ registration so one of the last to be made.

S0, so sad.

Still fancy a GTE.

Scimitar V Ford Capri ....... surely no contest in the real world.

Never say never ...........

Been considering a GTC for some time.....
That GTE looks like it's not worth touching, they don't fetch much in decent nick...
GTE or Capri?
Think I'd probably go for the Crapi TBH, but the GTC in preference to both.

That has been parked there for at least a decade now.

That Dino surfaced a while back and went to auction I think. Is that a recent photo?

The Dino sold at auction 5 years ago for £132K. That was one of the sale marketing photos. I expect it’s since been/being restored.

Untaxed for a couple of years - although it sits on the road ...

Outside John Prescott's house ...

The beige one is currently taxed and MoT'd though ... the other one not MoT'd for a couple of years.

Around the corner from me! The pick up is seen around quite often...used to have a Dodge Dart as well and the Defender is also theirs I believe. That Jag hasn't moved for ages.

Wouldn't need tax at that age surely?

Every car needs to be taxed. It's just some some are free ... (as this one would be).

I see what you mean. If it's in regular use then I wonder whether the owner hasn't grasped that. Only last week I renewed the "free tax" on one of my bikes, a 1977 US import.
