Correct - and amazingly rot free from what can be seen.
Yes no rust at all, i expected to see a lot more older cars in good condition but seemed to be loads of old Mercs and Corsas, nothing really that interesting.

It looks like you were more interested in the old police car. Quite rightly in my opinion. Looks 70s.

Typical of post E23 7 series though; everything fails at 10 years / 100,000 miles.
E32's were very good. The E38 was never as good for reliability.

Basically what I thought too.

Interior ,toast with windscreen broken.
Engine ,missing ,gearbox ?...who knows ?
Bodywork ,might have something worth saving.
Wheels ,likely heavy corrosion.

1 of these is a (future) classic the other simply doesn't sit well in the ordinary abandoned cars thread. Neither of them looked like they'd turned a wheel for some time.

How bizarre. Both had sub 20k miles when their MOTs ran out, and even today, both cars are very valuable.

When did the mot's run out? Sub 20k makes the sad situation even sadder!

I feel an urge to buy a 40's American pickup, and put a massive big block in it, about 600hp should do.
When I was growing up, there was an old Chevy rusting away down the side of the house two doors away. I went to look a few years ago, and it was gone. I asked the owner - he weighed it in for £120.

Post more pickups!
