Spotted whilst in Upstate New York for the Christmas holidays. Rusty, dented and looked held together by caulk and putty.

But I'm not sure what it is...

Front end looked like a 240/280Z, but can't identify the rest of it.

May try to get a closer look this weekend.

Looks like a Datsun Z car to me too with some body mods.

Rear wheels n tyres a bit oversized.

Looks like a 240Z with a bad kit on it. Covered over rear window for a start. But door shape and proportions, fuel filler door location etc are spot on. Strangely no US side marker lights though and that "reverse rake" rear tail light panel looks bizarre.

Nowt classic there I'm afraid........
Haven't you heard? - Apparently 15 year old Mondeo Estates, and 10 year old Range Rover's qualify as classic cars now (according to some on here! rolleyes )

Lthat looks as if the whole property has been abandoned, not just the car. The owner “shooting tigers” perhaps?

They’re Chinese and live just round the corner with a Q7 now? God knows how/why?

I assume that's in use, since there is snow underneath it and not on it. I wouldn't want to drive that through a hard winter!

I'm agreeing that it's a Datsun 240Z with a nasty bodykit

Doesn't have a plate on the back end, and actually not really a place for one. It's down the street from my brother's farm, evidently there is often a beater or two out front that goes ages without moving.

Will chalk it up to an unfortunate body kit decision years ago!

Nice smile

Not far away from the old Mondeo's pictured earlier there's a Subaru SVX rotting away on a driveway, modern classic or not yet ?

Looks like the Celica has had an oil leak for a long time. Between 2013 and 2015 though it did 700 mile, had a clean MOT then seemingly dumped? Wonder if the oil leak eventually caused the engine to expire.

And another one on my walk home from Kingston Town Centre. I've known about this one for years, reg is G306FVW. Nice original Alpina's and leather sports seats but if it was retired for rust in 2010 then it'll be as rotten as a pear by now.

This Lotus crops up regularly, I think the story was it belonged to the owner's deceased son and she just feels better it being around. Don't worry it will still be there in a few years when her life circumstances dip, and an Esprit will doubtless be sold and restored. Ive seen Lotuses come back from far worse.

I lost my 22 year old daughter a few months ago and can now empathise better with some of the probable back-stories to the "horror" pictures in this thread. And yes I still have her car on the drive, it just feels right somewhow. I wouldnt let it become dilapidated personally but I can see how it happens.

Shamelessly stolen from a fb group I’m on. Apparently it’s been parked there since 1987. It’s for sale as well looking for offers. Nothing to do with me it’s on UK barn finds if anyone is interested. Although I think it would be a lot better if it had been in a barn rather than Glasgow with a smashed passenger window
