There used to be an abandoned Cossie in the shed of the second picture IIRC.

You'll have to take my word, but these are all in a state.

Late 70s Firebird? Looks like the familiar ducks arse spoiler under there.

Vauxhall Chevette? Love the old school cassettes casually chucked in the centre console - home recorded Top 40 anyone?

Drat beaten to the punch, one of the very few "whats this wreck?" pictures I could actually recognise. My mate had a nearly new Chevette "Silhouette" edition in the 80s, quite plush at the time with its black velour, and that vestigial "console" around the gearstick marked it out as a bit special. Shame about the Motorist Discount wheeltrims but to be fair to him they were on when he got the car;

Found some pics of my beloved first car in the same batch of slides, one owner Arizona gold Capri Mk2.

Blimey, the black Golf in the first picture didn't last long (or went abroad). It's still due its first MOT!

When did you first meet Morten Harket?

How do you even see that, what's the plate?

NTN 939X - just click the pic and blow it up on screen. That would have been an early facelift car with the big rear lights. Can't quite make out if it is a GTi (can't see if it has wheel arch trims or the black rear window surround) but if it was, it would have been the 1600cc. The 1.8 engine GTi would be along in a year or so.

There's a nice white Series 3 XJ hiding between the Cav and the Orion too. Golf and Jag would have been THE 80's statement cars for the driveway!!

The silver pinstripe on the bottom of the tailgate might mean GTI, not sure. I had a black x reg 1.6 GTI with silver stripes down the side but I don't remember the bootlid stripe.

Exactly - I think the GTI did have the stripe.

That stripe (boot lid) is a thin piece of stick on chrome strip IIRC.

The Z28 flavour of these is now making serious money in good nick. I don't know what the difference is between the Z and the cooking version, nor which one that is in the pic.

I’ve posted this TVR before but when it was in a different location.

It moved to its current resting place a few years ago.

Not my cup to tea but I’m sure it’ll get a lot of love on here.

It’s looking quite sorry for itself now.

The orange paint has faded somewhat on the top and something has gone down the side of it.

Don’t suppose dents or rust will be an issue.

A mate of mine owns a large removals & storage business and often gets asked to store cars. There's a somewhat hacked-about Griffith there which looks like it hasn't moved under it's own steam in a very long time; I must ask him how long he's had it.

We had that a couple of pages ago. Jag looks like it'll fall apart like a wet toilet roll if you so much as lent on it.
