Norfolk. The same property where the above Hayabusa was dumped on the front garden. This one is located near that weird Grayson Perry house for Essex - sea breeze has eaten this Astra, the rust was shocking even at a distance. House was also looking in a dire state with nasty yellowed curtains and other cr@p dumped outside;
Blimey, the cost of restoring that GTE would be Astranomical.. Edited by NorthernSky on Monday 9th August 13:08

I had a school summer job cleaning cars at the local Vauxhall and Ford dealers (contract cleaning company would send us summer dogs bodies to whichever dealer needed support during the pre Aug 1st rush). The Astra was just so much nicer in every way than the interminable drivel that Ford and Austin Rover were punting out at the time - badly put together Escorts and Orions with raspy petrol or tractor diesels and godawful Maestros. Those squared off Astras were a great cars - however although I can see why someone would stash a GTE away for posterity, holding onto a boggo steel wheeled 3 door "L" seems a bit optimistic....! What's going on there - looks like the bottom rear half of a Traveller ? They didn't do a pickup with the woody bits did they ?Either that or it's rotted away. Or used as firewood

The front of a Triumph TR6?
Could be, but the “mattress” is where the windscreen would be. Perhaps the car is partially dismantled?Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
