The regn. no. is Dept.36 (Indre), approx. 125 miles south of Le Mans. There's some old writing in the grime which looks like Poitiers (a nearby town to west of Indre) with a telephone number and what looks like a possible price, 3,000F (Francs), which would have been approx £300 pre-Euro. I'm looking forward to the big classic show there next month, a proper 'fix' is in order
