Oh yeah...
There were actually THREE engine blocks sat there rusting. This one was the most photogenic.
The engine in the pic has “Nissan” stamped on the rocker cover. Wouldn’t the 240/260z engine been from the Datsun era? There were actually THREE engine blocks sat there rusting. This one was the most photogenic.
Edit: Back then it was Nissan for the domestic market and Datsun for export.

They all had Nissan on - never Datsun …Edit: Back then it was Nissan for the domestic market and Datsun for export.

The 4 cylinder engines were 1.4, 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 - the 6 cyl was available in 2.4, 2.6 and 2,8. (there was an early 2.3 six cyl. as well).
And yes, they did once upon a time have Datsun on the rocker cover.

Edit, great work on the Princess. Thanks for getting the pics.
I did think Princess at first, but on second look, I thought it was too short and the rake of the back too steep - like others here I thought Lancia Delta as well.... But hats off to the OP and the photographer!

Anyone remember this from a couple of months ago?

Not sure how long this has been here but it's looking rather neglected. Mk 2 Granada, maybe a Ghia or Ghia X but the front fogs look a bit aftermarket....
Well....Plate doesn't show any MOT history but the tyres look like genuine metric Michelin's TRX and seem new. Had flat tyres before so it looks like it's going to live again!

Great news. And as after-market as those fog-lights look that seems to be how Ford fitted them!
My MK2 2.8 Ghia was an early 1978 model so didn't have them. Or the wallet-busting TRX metric tyres - I think only Injection models had those.

Posh street in Belsize Park
And over in Ealing....
Looks like the Battersea Dogs home for dying barges. 8 series and XC90.
Plus a W140 Merc and an E38?? under the arch
Enlarging the pic of the Mini it looks like it has the slim metal flap along the side of the roof guttering, I'm pretty sure this was deleted in the mid '70s so this would make it a '69 to c.'76 Mk3.And over in Ealing....
