Does the roof unbolt as well or did I just imagine that?
No you are correct but you're unlikely to find one any less rusty than the one you want to replace!
I believe that is incorrect. The SLC was a fixed head coupe, the SL had the soft top convertible with optional hard top.

The guys above are talking about the P6 Rover, not a Merc

I don't know if this has been on here before, but I drove past it yesterday:

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.5992237,-0.13620...

Looking at the Google street view history, it's been at that property since at least 2008, turning around between 2012 & 2014, spending some time under a cover and having at least one wheel changed (front left).

In darkest Northamptonshire lies this genuine A35 estate from 1958. As rare as it gets really. A lot were converted into estates from vans.

Not sure whether this is left to die, it looks like it’s half-way through a restoration - albeit an outside one.

Yeah it’s too clean in parts to be abandoned. Glass looks polished. I don’t think he understands wheel chocks and gravity though

Maybe the owner left it in for some work and the bill overtook the value of the car. Local indy had a yellow Lotus sitting for over a year. Mentioned it to the garage owner, he said the customer refused to pay the bill and that they were in the process of exploring options. Giving notice and then selling the customers car to recoup costs didn't seem to be one of them.

I sold a red 944 last year, with those wheels and new tyres on. Hope it's not that.

Is this around East London by any chance?
When I moved there back in 1999 there was an abundance of mint Mk2 Granada 2.8i Ghia Xs with all the extras. I assumed that there must have been a hell of a deal on them for Dagenham workers once the Mk3 was introduced.

Plate doesn't show any MOT history but the tyres look like genuine metric Michelin's TRX and seem new. Had flat tyres before so it looks like it's going to live again!

Spotted this just now, parked near a garage. I recall seeing it in the same place (Horsforth, Leeds) years and years ago.

There’s an American monster truck parked opposite. hehe

Nissan still got the PK Motors dealer plates on, that takes me back.

I’m not sure it moves, blue van (directly behind it) has flat tyres also.

I bet that with new fuel, battery and tyres, that Nissan would start and run just fine.

Although not particularly desirable I’ll bet that Nissan is a rare beast nowadays, just like the Stanza is.
