Has anybody been to Radernie, near St Andrews? There are apparently barns full of cars and the grounds are stuffed full too.
Want to knock on the guys door, but I am led to believe he's not the most welcoming ....
You can see it on streetview, looks interesting.
A lot of the cars are/were older Jap stuff but I'm sure there's been a bit of a clear out in recent years.
The last few times I've been through Peat Inn there's been a Mitsubishi 3 door hatch (similar look to a Celica Supra) parked just up from the restaurant. It's in 'well used' condition. Presume it belongs to the same guy.

Know the one. Pass it all the time. It's a very shabby Sapporo - may have been purchased from the hoarder though

Silver with faded red graphics?
I was thinking the Cordia suggestion was right. I'll have to take a trip past at the weekend.

I always liked the Fuego especially in Turbo or 2.0 form. Unfortunately, I passed my test in 1990 and they were getting rare then.

I always felt they were much better than the MK3 Ford Capri, which is a car I did own and was rather a disappointment.
The Fuego and Starion were two coupes that I'd liked to have owned too, but by the time I could afford them had virtually disappeared. See also Isuzu Piazza (handling by Lotus), first generation (Celica) Supra, Nissan 200sx

When the Fuego first came out, I was at the 1980 Dutch GP at Zandvoort. Renault lined up about a hundred of them; an interesting bit of marketing psychology, because by the time the 70th or 80th went by, you really wanted to own one. I'm not sure how long that form of hypnosis was meant to last - for me, it was about four hours when I saw a BMW M1 on the way out.

I remember the launch too! I was on a family road trip across France heading to Zurich as a car mad 10 year old, and absolutely EVERYWHERE were billboard posters plastered with "mon nom est Fuego"!

My school mate's dad got a new one a year or so later - an absolutely basic pensioner gold 1.4 TL with steel wheels and no rev counter.

Just back from Crete where there is stuff lying abandoned all over the place. A crying shame.
Apologies didn't photograph any of it apart from this lying decomposing in Pisjopiano/Koutoloufari
The 230E badge puzzled me as it looks like a 190 series to me.......

I bet your mate was guttedmad The Turbo version was featured in the James Bond Film ‘ A View to a Kill’ and a GTS in one of the Bergerac Episodes regarding stolen diamonds.

The high end versions were great and much better and more stylish then the Capri. I still see the occasional one in Francetongue out

The above is not exactly focussed on rotting classics, I know...but I sold my Europa to a chap who campaigns it in Historic racing. He took out the 4-speed box and replaced it with a 5-speed from a Fuego - presumably because there weren't any more R16s to tear apart. A pity the Fuego became a donor, but perhaps that's better than leaving it to rot. Oh look - back on track!

Took a trip along yesterday.
The 'Sapporo' sunstrip was a bit of a giveaway smile

So, it's a Colt Sapporo Auto on which the MOT expired nearly 6 years ago - it clearly had some rust issues and those are now clearly apparent from the outside.
The place nearby that used to have all the old Jap cars has a lot more space in recent years but I noticed a few still sitting there, they mainly appear to be 1970s saloons.

Wonder how it's parked on what appears to be public highway.

I’m not about to say a Citroen Xantia is a classic … but at nearly 30 years old, it’s done well to last the course …

Last mot’d in 2015.

The smaller white line in front of the driver’s door appears to be the edge of the road.
