Definitely a classic, by my definition. That is, prices have finally passed the point of inflexion and seem to be on the rise. Even before COVID.....
But, I am biased.....here is mine....
Hang on, isn't that one of the super early aircooled models with the single grille? That's absolutely a classic, and it's free money if you ever go to sell it on.But, I am biased.....here is mine....

I think there is a French law that states that every farm must have at least 3 dead cars on the property - they must all be French of course and only be held together by ivy and cobwebs.Mr lestat said:

I'd hate to have you as a neighbour. Don't you have any hobbies?
Yeah lots thanks, I pay my tax insurance etc are you happy that someone else doesn’t or don’t you bother eitherIs one of your many hobbies pointing out, and getting angry about petty lawbreakers?
Spend more time catching real criminals, is my suggestion.

It's probably not doing much harm on the side of the road, he's not driving it, so morally, I don't really consider him a lawbreaker.

I didn't realise that we could choose what is and what isn't lawbreaking? Is one of your many hobbies pointing out, and getting angry about petty lawbreakers?
So if it's near the side of the road that's ok, is it?
What about if he drives it, but only a little bit, and keeps his fingers crossed while he is on the road, but not really?

Do you report people who are speeding on the road to the Police?
How about vehicles parked facing the wrong way after dark?
Do you note and report cars with tinted front windows to the Police?
How about vehicles that don't display a suppliers name, or BS number, or postcode on their registration plates?
They're all breaking the Law at the end of the day, and in some of those cases, represent a far bigger danger to other road users, than an old car parked at the side of the road going nowhere!

Yeah, it is an early air-cooled version, just before they changed to water cooled. Having owned it for over ten years it has gained in value, but only by as much I have spent on it...... so not really a sound financial plan Although this year it will be MOT and tax exempt too. This year, it will have a reconditioned gearbox, new clutch and exhaust.... Plus a new paint job..... So hopefully good for a few more years......Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
