Last tax was due in '96, so it'll need a bit of work!

Looks like offside front damage is quite common on them as well wink

Possibly beause you need binoculars to see the front of the car from the driver's seat!

Right. Before I start: don't flame me! (yet!)

I had a run out on the bikes with a couple of mates today, and I passed a house with an Aston Martin Virage outside, in a deep red colour. The paint was completely flat and it certainly had the air of something unloved. The trouble is….I can't place where it was (I'm old!).

My approximate route today, or at least the part where I saw it, was Sellindge - Ham Street - Tenterden - Biddenden - Sissinghurst - Staplehurst - Marden - Yalding - Nettlestead - Wateringbury - East Malling.

At a push I'd say it was in the Staplehurst area.

Anyone any idea/view on this?

This rings a bell with me, I'm sure I've seen it parked very close to the main road between Marden and Staplehurst, but could be corrected on that as I've not been out that way for some time.

At first I thought you meant the lovely big oasthouse just outside Marden with the big pond in front, they have an Aston of that era but I think it's a green Vantage 550, and last summer it was gleaming when I saw it parked outside the house.

the 205 gti above. on the a23 in brighton? underneath the viaduct? If so he's a chap who breaks them, he has a few lock ups across the city full of cars in bits. Have purchased bits off of that very car to return my 1.6 sorrento green one back from the brink of death.

Yes, that's it. Good to know it isn't going to waste.

I suppose it's a good excuse to get back out on the bike to retrace my steps!

I went back to the National Museum in Kabul today for the first time in nearly three years and found all the cars still there. The gate to the compound was locked this time, so no close ups. Please pipe up with any info or observations about the year/spec of the cars. Firstly, some more of King Amanullah's Phantom I as mentioned above
Great post! Thank you.
Did you really have to quote ALL those photos just to say thanks?

I've seen this too - on the way back from Hush Heath vineyard... from memory I think it was outside a house along Thorn Road but may be mistaken.

Trying to retrace my route - looked at the map but I'm almost certain we didn't use Thorn Road. We went through Staplehurst then doubled back on the B2079. But it may have been earlier in the journey!

Is that an Mi16?
Does it still have an engine? Most of them seem to have been sacrificed at the altar of 205 swaps.
Had one of those as my first company car. standard 1.9 but got the spoiler as my only option.
