I have a question about Saabs, in Sweden in particular.
In 67 Sweden switched from driving on the left to the right but before then (and after) all the cars are LHD.
Does that mean they drove LHD cars on the "proper side" left?
I assume they started with RHD then sold LHD a long time in advance (which meant people driving LHD on the left for a while) but there would still be RHD driving on the right after the switch. In 67 Sweden switched from driving on the left to the right but before then (and after) all the cars are LHD.

There isn't an easy way to do it. Buses would have been worse, passengers getting out into the traffic!

I was at uni in Sheffield in 1992, the main Ford dealer was (and may still be) TC Harrison.
Founded by F1 racer and British Trials champion Cuth HarrisonTC Harrison is still going, but no longer has a dealership in Sheffield.

I was at 6th form at a pretty low level Comp in Lancashire in the early 80's and one of my mates got one as his first car. Quite bizarre and none of us were particularly wowed by it. The 3-abreast was a novelty and I don't remember it being quick compared to an MG Metro or 1275 Mini. The wow was a guy with a salmon pink Manta.Speed 3 said:

I had one for a while, the bagheera had twin downdraft Delloto's, possibly 38's so the carburation alone gave it a bit of performance, it kept pace with XR3i;s etc. It wasn't too bad for what it was, a fairly heavy chassis but the electrics were a nightmare.Speed 3 said:

These cars were using a much more advanced process for GRP than others who were still hand laying.

If you weren't wowed by one of these in the 80s, you must have been hard to impress.
I really don't know why we weren't, this was like a spaceship in E. Lancs at the time. Can't remember what colour it was, possibly brown with an orange-ish interior. I had a Mini Clubman, rest of our gang had assorted crap such as Allegro Estate & Vauxhall Viva. We should have been in awe of it.Edited by Speed 3 on Saturday 6th August 12:49
