With respect to velicerosso,he didn't say ALL cars mid 90s on are classics, just that's where he draws the line for some to be classic.
Although a well kept ,rarer spec Mondeo ,like an Si,Ghia,4x4,might be a closet classic soon.
Don`t get me wrong, I love early Mondeos, I had 2 & they were both brilliant, but just too many around. But then again popularity spawns classics, maybe I will to revisit my earlier statement as some stage, but not yet.Although a well kept ,rarer spec Mondeo ,like an Si,Ghia,4x4,might be a closet classic soon.

Just wondered when does 'an old car' become a classic car ? I have read somewhere 20 years ? And 25 years ? Also that it depends on what your insurance company define as a "classic".....I get annoyed when i search certain auction sites and all they throw up is what i would call "old car's"....
We waited six years for that! Six years! gothatway said:
IMV, a car had to be innovative and/or luxurious and/or sporting when it was new in order to be considered classic nowadays. So that excludes Ford Consuls, post war Hillman Minxes, Vauxhall Victors and similar porridge . But I do include Morris Minors, 'cos I like them.
I was with you on the exclusions of Porridge - until you got to the Moggy! POS IMHO! Mr Tidy said:
