Not commuting, but 'keeping it real'.. went through a Burger King drive-thru in the Daimler at the weekend.. and she started overheating in the queue! That'll teach me for being unhealthy..

A picture (not at the drive-thru).. just because I started this thread and, accordingly, feel justified! biggrin

I took the MR2 to work again today. Unfortunately I forgot to move it into the shade at lunchtime, so it was parked in the sun all day.
Guess who's aircon needs attention?
Stop start traffic in a small coupe with a black / charcoal interior when it's 35 degrees outside with no aircon is no fun at all frown

It's even less fun when your air-con dies, you've got a glass roof and you're stuck in a motorway traffic jam just outside a tunnel....

Same problem here - leather seats too, though at least the sunroof works to get some of the heat out. AC needs virtually complete replacement, so its a bit further down the list than it should be.

My newest vehicle is 30 years old.
I commute all over South Devon in them.
1987 VW T3 Syncro.
1986 Porsche 944.
1971 300SEL W109.
Often wonder why I don't have a modern motor but then remember ex ran off with it! Lol.

Was behind a Mk1 MR2 on a D plate in the traffic queue towards the A3 at Compton today - looked very tidy. Bravo, sir!

Ours got a bit dirty today - does this count as commuting?

How many (in the UK anyway) are now tucked up avoiding the bad weather (and salty roads!)?

Mine are, for now. I raced to get the project ready for an MOT and conversion to historic VED, and it's pretty much not been out since. But in that race I didn't have time to fit mudflaps and inner wing shields, so that's the current job. By the time that's done, the bad weather will have (hopefully) gone. But the Firenza is taxed, MOTed and ready to go, if it were needed, it's been on standby recently while I did a couple of jobs on the daily driver.

My Quattro staying put through the nasty weather (perversely) but I'm just fitting some fibreglass wheel arch liners to the TR6 in preparation for some winter action. Although that's academic given that the car is still in the middle of a weekend's work that started last April.

Through the snow by Dolomite on Tuesday - Hampstead to Luton and back. Then to the local Romanian car wash.

Snow earlier this week, cold rain tonight... who cares when you're snug on your Amazon?

Possibly because the driver admitted it? Who knows?
