The Trustee will consult with the creditors. If they fund the Trustee to pursue Hood, there may be more hoo hah yet to ensue.

You don't choose the job. The job chooses you. But the internet magnifies. I am surprisingly chilled out in real life. Most of my time is spent on hard shoulders waiting for RAC vans, so that chills me out..

I think that with over £60 million in play, they might well be interested wink

Might depend on how much they thought they might be able to get & what they thought it might cost them etc... Unless someone is out for vengeance.

The Trustee will only act if the cost/benefit analysis looks favourable. The Trustee is not an agent of vengeance.

Very similar to a Range Rover owner's "experience day"

Different movie/book. I think he was in a villain in a Dan Brown book smile

Interesting situation and a high profile case is playing out between to chaps from NZ. Involving at least £60M. All the money has been hidden and also his mother has all a sudden become rather wealthy. The Judge in the case, having had enough of the BS as to where the money is, Jailed Mr watson for Contempt.

Quite similar levels of assholish behaviour. Including the attempted seizing of money in trust (300m) whilst the other party was gravely ill with cancer.

Owen Glenn v Watson.Mr watson has a penchant for Super Models and the finer things in life. He has a 100m+ Inland Revenue judgement outstanding for tax, he owes Sir Owen a staggering sum.

A rare victory for Mr. Hood.

https://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/Ch/2020/3232....

But two small matters of interest, perhaps:

1. There was someone prepared to lend him a pretty substantial sum of money (£500k+) to help him stave off last year's bankruptcy petition; and

2. Mrs. Hood is described as his ex-wife.

I was just browsing for houses in Essex, only one I picked out that I liked the look of, in my price range was this one below. Plenty of room for my car collection, both inside and in car ports. Indoor pool, extensive gardens. Charming.

I suspect the former owner of High Trees, Spital road Maldon Essex" is also a car fan. Wonder why he is selling?
