I have photo of sports car in South Wales in 1950s.
Driven by Christopher Jennings who became editor of The Motor in this era.
He test drove sports cars from London to South Wales and wrote reports for The Motor.
Does anyone hazard a guess at the manufacture of this car....left hand drive.
note the small door and seperate rear side window and very long bonnet.
sorry its so small but a magnifying glass will help to see detail.

Jennings was married to Margaret Allan who was one of the SS Jaguar works rally drivers

It looks a bit like an AC Aceca to me.

I'm sure I saw something very similar to that in the British Motor Museum last weekend near the Aston Martins and some Jaguars.

Awkwardly long thing.

Sorry nothing like an Aceca, suspect a special of the period.

I didn't know that Margaret Allan drove for the SS Jaguar works team. She retired from racing in 1937 (when she married) after an active career racing at Brooklands, the Monte Carlo Rally, 1935 Le Mans 24 Hours and Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb.

I thought it could be a Frazer Nash Continental. Whilst this has some similar features it is plainly not the right car. So, I assume it's a special (inspired by a Frazer Nash Continental)!!

Makes me think of Bristol, but no supporting evidence.
