My cousin Phil has been kissed by Lady Gaga, the lucky blighter (he's a music biz techie creative wizard type geezer). I have not been kissed by Lady Gaga which makes me sad.

Hope the Sherpa shuffling goes without a hitch!
My wife has been kissed by David Bowie. Twice. He is no longer kissing anybody, and that makes us all sad. My wife has also been sent flowers by each of Steve Martin, Dustin Hoffman, and Al Pacino.

Sherpa shuffling is perforce a bit of a speculative venture. It is said that people want campers now that we are in CoividWorld, but whether people want early 80s BL campers I do not know. Those who just want a cheap camper may not think to look in classic car advert locations. I could try eBay as well as PH and carandclassic, I suppose. There are a couple of Sherpa campers for sale at present, but both appear to be in worse condition than mine, and they do not have the two litre petrol engine.

Here is the PH advert.

I have tried to edit the ad to place it in either the campervan bit or the Morris bit, but I just get repeated error messages from the PH system. The system also refused to accept 1981 as a valid year when I was posting the ad. It's not really set up for selling old vans.

Mrs.BV is fab. Mrs.P5B has been kissed by the Muswell Hillbilly genius who gave the world 'Waterloo Sunset', one of the greatest songs ever written. This makes me happy.

You need to find a hipster who likes old BL stuff.

Scumtree adverts produce only scummy idiots who want the thing on sale for free. The hipster surfer idea is a good one, thanks.

I tried to edit the advert on PH, but the system appears to have taken that request as submission of a new advert. Paying for the ad is also a clunky process that appears a bit broken.

It's well worth putting it on caramdclassic as well, it's free and you can post multiple ads in different sections.

It is already on there. It is now on Quirky Campers as well.

Is 4500 too cheap? I wondered about 5000 or even more. It is quite scruffy, but it has been pretty dependable in use. Very hard to price one of these because they are very rare and not fashionable.

The PH advert system is dire! I just tried to edit the price upwards but there is no edit button, despite logging in to the ad.

I have never used it to buy, nor to sell a car, and I stopped looking at it for any purpose several years ago. I was surprised anyone used it, TBH.

It's never easy to gauge the right price when you're selling something like this, just £500 either way can put potential buyers off but I think you've judged it about right. Whatever you get for it on the day can go straight towards the Appia and 124's upkeep.

Lotus next to go...?

I agree with out a lot of other examples to go on pick a price you are happy selling for and add some wiggle room on top.

Completely, utterly, couldn't be more off topic if I tried, but I have this on a wall chez Cappo:

Love it.

I am told by someone who knows such stuff that Lady G has her latex clothing made bespoke by Atsuko Kudo, who has an atelier du pervage on the Holloway Road in London.

I would happily offer to apply the talc.

You are thinking of old style latex, which was like a wetsuit. The modern stuff is much thinner, and doesn't require talc. It's become a fashion fabric, and not just one for pervs. I know this entirely innocently through a friend (and I mean friend, nothing more) who models the stuff!

I think £4500 is too cheap. Hipsters will think its rubbish, which of course it may well be!

I run a brokerage for old motorboats, in 20 years I've never seen so much activity. Boats sat on the market for years have sold like hot cakes. So much money about that folk haven't worked for. You cant beat a decent bit of Motorboating.

A propos of nothing, I once mentioned to a Canadian colleague that he should shelve a particular idea that he had proposed, by which I meant that he should put it to one side for a while. He looked slightly puzzled. Turns out that in some North American slang, to shelve something means to shove it up your ass.
Some of my north American colleagues do the opposite of shelving, in that I strongly suspect that many of their ideas originate in their ass.
