I went to Bruges over the weekend and spent a few hours in Brussels, too. I saw absolutely NOTHING interesting and very little over about 8 years old. (apart from a pair of Armed Forces Unimogs outside Bruxelles-Midi railway station.) Surprised and disappointed.

Spotless if rather damp C15 van here on Fraggle Rock. Puts me in mind of the C15 vs Aston YouTube vid!

In '86 when this was released, my dad had recently bought a new Volvo (740GL, great car) and so got invited to the unveiling of the 480. I'd never been to an unveiling before, and even though it was Carlisle, not Paris or Geneva, I was just totally excited. I was 11 and at the height of my car knowledge gained from poring over a mountain of car brochures. hehe We got there early and spent 20mins looking around before dad got bored, and as the actual unveiling wasn't for another hour we went home. Gutted.. frown

Delivered a poorly BMW to a mechanic out in the sticks to find he had this in for a fettle.

If Ford had known how revered it would become they would have prescribed decent wheels, not hubcaps.

It has three.

"Hubcap for a '68 Mustang?"
"You'll be lucky, mate."

Right from the very start in '64 there were many options to be had Dicky, some of the later hub caps were much nicer though. I wonder if the owner is going to restore this one...?

I'll ask, Nij. Can't really explain why I haven't already.

That's good news. I suppose my thinking was there were so many of them they would have mostly been scrapped as too commonplace.

This morning on the way to Exeter I saw a Cavalier SR hatchback. It was on a low loader so either off to get restored or scrapped. It didn't look too bad and although not everyone's cup of tea then or now, it made me look twice. I can't think when I last saw one.

my Dad had a white SRi hatch as a company car back in the day. They definitely evoke the nostalgia that era of vauxhalls.

My bloke knows a chap who lives here and owns a house in Tennessee. His kids love Mustangs so he said he'd buy them both a car when they turn 21 but they have to keep them their whole lives. So with the elder one nearing 21 this car was imported and is being made MoT ready. Nice.
