On the motorway today.

Campagnolo actually used W123s in period!

Probably en route to Velo Retro in Cumbria, where details matter

I like that, those are sometimes reasonable priced as well, although I guess a lot are restored now or fixed up, which increases prices.
still lovely to see when you spot one, could do with a nicer engine, it already has the looks.
would love to see a well done Retromodded one

The engine is fine with the carburettor conversion.

Sorry it's an Instagram video link, but... https://www.instagram.com/p/Cs-tqzcImGK/ ...I randomly happened to be waiting to cross the road at the same time as a DeLorean DMC-12 was starting off through a green light. It would have been rude not to, really.

Screenshot from the potato-cam video...

Utter bks Rene: the PRV V6 is nothing special but the torque is enough to make a period SC shy!

Think 25 to 50 for a decent A310. The next generation is not so pretty and therefor still up for grabs.

The Alpine Renault really drives superb!

Mega space as well: decent 2+2.

I had a GTA and really enjoyed the engine, and it had one of the sweetest exhaust notes I can remember coming through the Dartford Tunnel. It has now had a carb conversion with its current owner which I think he slightly wishes he hadn't done as it isn't the improvement he was lead to believe it would be.

I'd love an A310, especially an early six headlight car with the 4-cyl!

Looks like this one has been in long-term ownership as it still has the old-style plates.

Talking of A310s. Not a spotted (and excuse the diversion), but an advert for a car based in Tenerife. I like it. biggrin

(There's a ferry from Huelva, takes about a day and a half, then a quick ten hour drive up to Bilbao. Road trip. thumbup)

that a nice restored example, bet it has cost a little fortune to paint it that way.

I thought this is a cool picture, the engine looks way more sporty then the standard is, lol.

Back to cars that have been spotted..

Driving down Skipton Road, Harrogate @ 07:05 this morning this lovely Giulia GTA rep, such a bloody gorgeous design. One sure fire way to make every modern car on the road look fat, tasteless and just a bit st cloud9

I spotted something yesterday.

Sadly I was driving so couldn't get a pic, but it did have me scratching my head, so much so that once home I had to get googling. After about 30 minutes I was still clueless:

Spotted in Hampton, parked nose first into a narrow drive/garage entrance so only the rear 3/4 was visible. Ivory coloured 2 seater coupe (or very cramped 2+2), I'd guess it was a late sixties/early seventies design, about MGB size but perhaps a little taller. The rear 3/4 window was a little like that of the Toyota 2000GT. What got me intrigued was the "Rover" badge on the front wing, and a "Z" badge (Zagato?) on the rear 3/4. It's not much to go on I know, but I probably only saw it for a second or two. The Rover and Z badges didn't look like the familiar Rover and Datsun styles. It didn't look like a kit, but you never know.

I mean, not like I'm losing sleep or anything....
