Oh I quietly approved of it laugh
Me too.

I appreciated the fire tender explanation too, I spotted it at the Nurburgring, so appropriate.

Had a lovely little tussle with a pristine blue BMW M5 E60, I think it was a manual, near Guildford, on Monday. If that's you, PM me, I bet you were surprised you couldn't gap me that much....

It would be a conversion if it was a manual, or maybe not a real M5? The E60 M5 was only available as a manual in the USA, but a few conversions have been done.

Out of interest, what were you driving to be able to see the manual gear leaver in the M5 that could also keep pace with an M5..?

Well remembered smile Saw it on the old Silverstone once, certainly looked a handful though I imagine would keep an E60 M5 in-sight up to 140mph at least.

I remember when it was a TV Star.

Readers of a certain age will be stuck with the Z Cars theme tune for a while. Sorry.

One of three brand new and unregistered delivery mileage (still in their wrappers and transit wax) LHD MG Maestros that were found in Belgium recently. This one has gone to Germany.

Pretty sure I've seen this at the local garage I use. One of two Zepher/Zodiacs I've seen there.

obviously couldn't see the the manual lever but could certainly hear the gear changes and see the attitude of the car change when the driver changed gear... I was driving this |https://thumbsnap.com/dUTAwENf

sort of kept pace, wasn't gapped but of course I don't know how much of the rev range the M5 was using (but she did howl) whilst I do like to use the full rev range.
