Ooh, I like that Schnitzer!
It was just quietly sitting there, minding its own business, and just looked right.
Is it a genuine one?

The owner hasn’t just bought a couple of badges off eBay, similar to what people do with M badges?

Just asking smile

Non idea how to check, but it wasn't overdone, which is usually the giveaway for fakes in my experience. And I've no idea how it was under the skin but it just seemed to be in lovely condition. I'd wager someone on PH knows the car and the owner. I don't remember seeing it before so it could well be a visitor to Newbury.

A very pleasant contrast to most of the abominations in BMW’s current range
Somewhat of a low bar given that I have seen used house bricks with better styling than the current BMW range (particularly anything with an X)

Talking of Capris, I took these yesterday…

Often walk past there and they are always on the drive.

It's funny how times change: 20 years ago i'd have scorned the owner for sticking some distasteful headlight 'eyebrow' and plastic front splitter to the front, unwarranted AC Schnitzer badges, fake Alpina wheels and a DTM-piped fartbox to it - without poking holes in that numberplate surround and rear BMW badge.. nowadays it's just nice to see them around - always preferred 325i Sports to the M3 of the time for road use, just a lovely combination of engine and chassis.

I'm surprised to see the Daimler looking as good as it does if it's stored outside all year round.

I'm seeing slightly too much wheel/tyre at the front as well but otherwise agree.

Always wish I'd bought an E30 325 when they were £1,000

I probably shouldn’t have sold one when they were that price.

Saw this rather fine HK500 wafting its way towards Hammersmith bridge.

A few weeks ago in the same area there was a remarkable ISO Grifo parked up. Made my day.

There was a Gilbern GT at Mallory Park yesterday. Never seen one before. Do we post pictures of cars at racetracks on this thread?

There's actually a Reader's Cars thread about it...

The owner of the HK500 lives in Barnes and he uses his cars a lot - when he can.
