I can relate to that, but it obviously needed major work and it does seem a bit pointless to only half restore it once it is in bits!
That's my dream model E-Type, but ideally in Red (like the Corgi model my mate had when I was in primary school).
Its been saved and that means a lot, and unlikely to reach poor condition like the 1st pics anytime soon I like what they have done with it That's my dream model E-Type, but ideally in Red (like the Corgi model my mate had when I was in primary school).

Odd, it looks distinctly like a taller 2+2 in side profile when it goes past my house...!
The 2+2 has a thick strip of chrome trim running below the side window line, which I think was a design trick to try and disguise the additional height of roof line and door glass. The doors on the 2+2 are obviously much longer as well. I am sure that’s a 2 seater FHC.dandarez said:

For some reason this one doesn't check out on any 'Registration Check' type websites, I believe it's a 2.5, one of 118 according to Wikipedia
Like the colour - anyone guess what it is? No, I don't know.Brings back memories of mine.

That's a nice selection - the SAAB looks great and the area strangely familiar...
However, I can't stop revisiting the colour on that 928... it's lovely.
Saab spotted on the Finchley Road. Had a nice rasp and a small "Abbott Racing" badge. However, I can't stop revisiting the colour on that 928... it's lovely.
I think the 928 is Cobalt Blue?
The Saab is great, and the 928 is the only Porsche I've ever really wanted. Formative years watching Risky Business probably. There was a someone at school whose parents would sometimes turn up in a Porsche with an appropriate plate - I remember seeing THE 944S and I think THE 911S also. I don't know if they were his or if they were press cars.

The colour looks very similar to BMC's Sandy Beige as used on Mk2 Mini saloons and Coopers (1967-69) or Antelope as used on Mk3 Cooper Ss (1970-71)
Or Ford's Sahara Beige which I was priviledged enough to have on a Mk1 Fiesta of '82(?) vintage. My 1975 Mk3 Cortina 2.0GT was Sahara Beige (in between the rust patches ) and it had a brown vinyl roof......
