COOL CLASSIC CAR SPOTTERS POST! (Vol 3)
Discussion
Alvis, which was very cool and patinated (and Ferrari FF, which I have to say I love and is my "if I have money to burn" family fun car).

And not really a spot as this belongs to a friend. Austin Champ.

I'm amused by the sign on the front wall which, whilst it says "Car Park thataway", presumably means "Car park is round the back, unless you're a showoff."IMG_20201011_200630 by baconrashers, on Flickr

Car park was actually better for posing as in full view of the garden, where everyone was sitting today. But it was also chock full.
Couple of Pugs spotted over the weekend
Immaculate lhd 305 which has only done a couple of hundred kms in the last 3 years according to the MOT history.
And a very shabby 205 which is still MOTd but surely can't be long for this world. Another one behind but I couldn't get anything on that.

That reminds me of a gentleman enthusiast we knew, who had a serious collection of classic exotics back around the time of the 1989 classic car market boom. He offered to take my brother and I to Silverstone for the Norwich Union Classic event. We were so excited! Whch car would he pick us up in? Surely it had to be the Ferrari 365GTC/4? Or what about his Maserati Kyalami? Both ideal for transporting 2 passengers. The worst case would have been his new Jaguar XJ6. So you can imagine our disappointment when he turned up in his wife’s tatty old white Peugeot 205 diesel....

Hopefully the driver got a parking ticket for failing to pay for the second space it was using - Absolutely sh!t: "oh my car is soooo precious!" parking!Blown2CV said:

to be fair, that space has a weird kerb encroaching on at at the front that means the car doesn't look like it would fit properly. He could have just parked in another one of the million empty spots though.Saw a Fiat 131 and a mint Morris Marina yesterday.

That Alvis is currently for sale on C&C at £40k. Looks to be mechanically well maintained with bodywork kept original - much nicer than some of the over-restored beetlebacks.IMG_20201011_200630 by baconrashers, on Flickr

Gotta love a coupe
from the side it looks a bit like a SLCRef. the comment about rust above, hopefully it isn't a local car and doesn't have to endure those conditions all the time. It looked solid and the paint looked newish but not brand new.
