En route to the Bicester Scramble this morning, taken through the rear hatch of my mate's SD1...

Ooh, ooh. Is that a Series 1 1/2 ?
It's a US spec series 2 rather than 1 1/2. Larger air intake and indicators below bumpers is the giveaway smile

Ah, just looking through my iphone pics, forgot I'd spotted this in our village on Monday. Went back to take more snaps and it had gone!

General Lee replica's are getting rarer by the day.

Not due to rotting away, or being crashed, but due to them being de-replica'd because of the the confederate flag on the roof, and the flag's modern day presumed link to racism and the far right.

(Apparently, "The Dukes Of Hazzard" is no longer re-run on TV in the USA, purely because of the flag on the General Lee! - What a strange Country!)

I wasn't convinced by the white in the picture above, but it looks great in the other pictures.

Went to a small local show last night .

30 odd pics....

Sapphire Cosworth with nice 18" OZ wheels tucked into the arches where 15s were originally.

356s

MK1 Lotus ?...nope ,GT badge ,but......

Pinto engine

Very clean and tidy Fiesta Super Sport ,apart from a rather untidy sunroof panel.

RS2000 odd front spoiler

RS2000 ,what it should be like

Not a fan of Rolls Royce but do like a good 2 tone paint job

Yes ,it was lucky the "Old skool " Anglia and Escort lot turned up as there was a lot of them and filled out the field a bit better.

Weather was ok last night but it was a bit grey and looked like it could have rained at any time ,which it didn't do.

Love that bumperless two-door Mk 1 Cortina. Such a clean and simple shape ...

Village I work in was holding its annual car show this weekend.

Moffat Classic Car Show.

Travelled up to work a little earlier than usual, hoping to catch a few parked up in High Street overnight.

Lovely pictures! All very nostalgic - the first car we bought was a Hillman Hunter GL in "Grasshopper Green" with a vinyl roof! Enjoyed owning it and drove around lots, eventually sold it and bought an early 2 litre SAAB 99 - a totally different machine.
