RS Williams the classic Aston specialist is located a few streets away. Coincidence?

It appears to be rebodied DB4 GT 0147/R. I posted this on the super cars spotted thread.

Two spots on the way home from work today - a mint green metallic 1969 / 70 Mustang Grande outside the local bodyshop and a minute or two later a slightly modified yellow Mk2 Escort, both very welcome sights.

That is a great spot. Wanted one for years, would look great in yellow I reckon...

Saw this yesterday evening - and a bubble arched mk1 Escort with twin cam badges.

Lovely - the only one I've ever seen was at BMW UK back in 2007!

Genuine DB4 GT's fetching between $2m & $4m, DB4 based Zagato "re-creations" fetching around $2m. I suspect it would now be worth more in it's original form.

I had a 72 Cortina with them on. Once adjusted they eliminate the rear3/4 blind spot that you get with door mounted mirrors, they are in your field of vision so keeping track of what is behind you is easy and no need to turn your head or refocus, the major adjustment you require is mental as due to their convex nature objects appear more distant and fast approaching vehicles will pass you much quicker than you might think.
Why did they move back to the door? Presumably because it looks a bit neater and they're easier to adjust/can be made adjustable from within the car. But with electric adjustment they could just as easily be down the wing again, in cool fairings.
Nissan Autechre Zagato Stelvio has wing mirrors in 'cool fairings'!
