Metric/TRX tyre'd alloy option on Granny X also wink one of the Cortina MK5 came with a similar TRX option IIRC
My Mk5 had the same style wheels as the Granada Ghia alloys, but they were standard tyres & four stud, rather than five.

That’s a bloody rare spec, big motor in a low spec car, I like.

I don’t recall such a beast in the uk, I’d have thought you’d need to be at least at the dizzy heights of a Ghia to get that motor.

good spot IMO, and quite cool.Post malaise era US metal is very durable. Leagues ahead versus European stuff in dependability. No major service items before 100000 us miles

840Ci - late model means this would have the 4.4 V8.

Which, unless I am much mistaken, is the same as UK miles. Or a mile anywhere, except at sea.

US miles are easier on the car than UK miles because the steering components get no wear.

Those rear lights give it a really fat arse and make it look too American IMO. I know that to be a PHer, I'm supposed to love the E31, but I don't.

There. I said it.

I had a late model (1999) 840ci and as much as I tried (and try I did) I could never love it as much as the 928 S2 it replaced.

I googled it and you are right. I stand corrected. Im not sure how i thought US miles were different as I wasnt born, never mind driving, in 1959. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mile

You're probably thinking of US gallons which are smaller than other gallons
