Somewhat late, but I saw these 2 last December - nice to see MGs that actually look good!
Is the MGB on the left a Jacques Coune MGB Berlinette?
Certainly looks like one.Is the MGB on the left a Jacques Coune MGB Berlinette?

Just travelled down to the south of France and took the route Napoleon.
Passing through one of the villages I spotted what I initially thought ( due to its surroundings) was a scrap Citroen SM!! I had to go and have a closer look. Within a few minutes two guys appeared from the garage who owned the SM. They were very keen to show it to me and within 20 minutes I was hurtling around the foothills of the alps in it at warp speed..., the guy drove like a loon , but what a gent for offering me the chance for a spin in one of my dream cars. It was his daily driver which had had engine, brakes, suspension etc restored/replaced and was waiting for funds/time to finish interior and bodywork..

Not something you expect to see parked at your local steak house just outside Newcastle under Lyme.
I was amazed how many other customers just parked up their cars and walked straight past it. Not even casually glancing in its direction.
I felt like grabbing them and shouting "don't you know what this car is you Philistines?"
I suppose as it wasn't a bloated white SUV with blackened windows and 22 inch alloys, it was of little interest.
