Not sure about the wind deflector though.....other than that, I wouldn't say no.
That wind deflector, the fact that it had the odd stone chip along with the dirty exhaust tips made me think that this car, despite being worth God knows what, was something that was used and enjoyed by the owner. I daresay many others rarely see the light of day.911stu said:
Just travelled down to the south of France and took the route Napoleon.
Passing through one of the villages I spotted what I initially thought ( due to its surroundings) was a scrap Citroen SM!! I had to go and have a closer look. Within a few minutes two guys appeared from the garage who owned the SM. They were very keen to show it to me and within 20 minutes I was hurtling around the foothills of the alps in it at warp speed..., the guy drove like a loon , but what a gent for offering me the chance for a spin in one of my dream cars. It was his daily driver which had had engine, brakes, suspension etc restored/replaced and was waiting for funds/time to finish interior and bodywork..

Not something you expect to see parked at your local steak house just outside Newcastle under Lyme.
I was amazed how many other customers just parked up their cars and walked straight past it. Not even casually glancing in its direction.
I felt like grabbing them and shouting "don't you know what this car is you Philistines?"
I suppose as it wasn't a bloated white SUV with blackened windows and 22 inch alloys, it was of little interest.
I'm flying without the backup of a google search here guys... isn't this the model from Ferris Beuller's Day Orf?I was amazed how many other customers just parked up their cars and walked straight past it. Not even casually glancing in its direction.

Yes, it's a Lynx. Don't think the owner has ever suggested otherwise.
Not sure about that, he bangs on about his “XKSS” all the time.Does he still have the (not real) C type?

I think that's the 1965 London Motor Show display 275 GTS if I can read the reg correctly. Cameron's dad's car in Ferris Beuller was the 250 GT California Spyder SWB, prices for which were closing in on £20m last year.
The car in the Beuller film was a replica.generationx said:
That's a Matra Bagheera (three seat coolness) - I don't recall Top Gear trashing one of those? Maybe you're thinking of the Maserati (Bora?) that Clarkson tortured in to submission?
The last of the series just finished Paddy M drove one through a jungle in I don't know where and really wasn't suitable.generationx said:

If you are on the Route Napoleon and like your Citroens you should call in at the Citromuseum at Castellane which is quite an extraordinary place. I think they have 4 SMs on display.Passing through one of the villages I spotted what I initially thought ( due to its surroundings) was a scrap Citroen SM!! I had to go and have a closer look.
