That's a Matra Bagheera (three seat coolness) - I don't recall Top Gear trashing one of those? Maybe you're thinking of the Maserati (Bora?) that Clarkson tortured in to submission?SydneyBridge said:

They trashed a Bagheera in the latest series that has just finished OLDBENZ said:
...some pics from Citromuseum from September last year. They have other hangers not shown containing huge numbers of 2CVs. I was most interested in the SMs as I had one at the time.
The guys with the SM told us about that, looks good. Want to call in there on the way back as will have more time to look round. [quote=OLDBENZ]...some pics from Citromuseum from September last year. You no longer have it?? ..What a shame.
Always loved them. In a perfect world I would have a light metallic green one in my “GT” garage next to my Espada ( which I haven’t got either😥)

Hey careful there guys - FFS don't call Lowdrags Jag replicars 'Kitcars' he gets rather upset - here's what he replied after I''d correctly Identified his cars as kits in a previous thread:-

Sadly I rather feel obliged to reply since it is I being criticized. My E-type a "kit car". News to me. A Lynx XKSS a "kit car"? It was hand made and built at the factory. It is like calling a Lotus a kit car when we all know that one bought a virtually complete car which you could finish in a weekend to save Purchase Tax. I would suggest that Rene7 probably could not understand the words over four letters in my reply, but as always, it is a free world and even he has the right to post here. And he has the discourtesy to criticize my cars when what does he drive? A Caterham kit car. Oh dear. Not sure whether a factory built one does not qualify as a kit car, but to me Lotus and Caterham 7s have always been (very good) kit cars. Expect not all will agree ...
Oh I agree completely. I helped build one back in the days when I had hair. And a great car to drive too. As I made clear, I was invited to Bruntingthorpe by Jonathan to try out the new Vauxhall-engined Jonathan Palmer special, and it was one hoot of a car. It was only the pot calling the kettle black I was objecting to.

Not something you expect to see parked at your local steak house just outside Newcastle under Lyme.
I was amazed how many other customers just parked up their cars and walked straight past it. Not even casually glancing in its direction.
I felt like grabbing them and shouting "don't you know what this car is you Philistines?"
I suppose as it wasn't a bloated white SUV with blackened windows and 22 inch alloys, it was of little interest.
I'm flying without the backup of a google search here guys... isn't this the model from Ferris Beuller's Day Orf?I was amazed how many other customers just parked up their cars and walked straight past it. Not even casually glancing in its direction.

I think that's the 1965 London Motor Show display 275 GTS if I can read the reg correctly. Cameron's dad's car in Ferris Beuller was the 250 GT California Spyder SWB, prices for which were closing in on £20m last year.
The car in the Beuller film was a replica.I do enjoy watching "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" :
And this is the "Ferrari" from the film (From when it came up for sale) :

I infer that the vehicle spotted isn't one and the same, but I claim bonus points for that fact that it is red, convertible and dons a prancing horse.

Back in the day these were £40k and up against serious rivals - Esprit, 20v Quattro or Porsche 944 for similar money, all bone fide sports cars which seriously effected sales. Now though, thinking slightly less rationally, they look brilliant and I'd find some space in my lottery win garage for one. They handle well and have the sweet 2.5 six. What a charming car.
Looks like £40 - £45k will get you an A1 example.
