In 2004 when I showed my Mustang on the club stand at the NEC, there was one of these in this colour (with dark green vinyl roof) for sale on the Alan Carrington stand - I’ll have to try and find the pics buried deep on my computer somewhere to see if it was this car. £16,995 from memory …Edit: sold at auction for £51,750 last March …

Always fancied trying a Smart Roadster. I probably should before too long. Not so sure I could live with the tail end epithet applied to that one though!Strange how times change, as he pointed out he used to pull loads over with dodgy spaced reg plates. Today they (dodgy plates) get away with impunity. I must say I see more dodgy plates today than I have in years so he must be correct.

Same place that was full of Bugattis 3 weeks ago had a "car show" on today. I think it may actually be a case of all the retired blokes in a local club catch up once a month for a bbq and if the public want to wander around then that is fair enough.
Wide variety of things in attendance:
FC Holden
Pagoda and Vauxhall
Champ
Couple of Fords
1904 Oldsmobile van
MG with a hardtop

That MG is gopping. What were they thinking???
I rather like it. It's plenty different from a factory B GT. Not going to win prizes at car design awards, but I'd happily own that...Quite like the hardtop, I assume it lifts straight off?
