At the same event that I saw the Kyalami, I ended up parking next to this ISO Lele.

Love those Isos (ditto the Kyalami) - back in 2019 I came within a whisker of borrowing the money to buy a RHD Lele Sport, looking back, I wish I had cloud9

Nice ol’ Fiesta parked up. I had two of these, one X reg and one Y reg. Both 1.1 variants I think … good cars.

Slightly better picture of the Lele although I wish I had removed the red/white pole before taking it.

Happy days. Years ago, my sister borrowed mum’s 1300 Ghia to visit Longleat. The monkeys broke off the wipers, pulled the ‘chrome’ plastic trim out of the screen rubbers and ate the rubber overriders. Cost a bloody fortune to fix laugh

Thanks for that wink. As Italian exotics go, even a hybrid one with a yank V8 they're not everyone's cup of tea but I think Gandini got it just right with the styling, it has elements of the Alfa Montreal with the hooded headlights and the Lamborghini Espada and the interiors are gorgeous.

Going back to the Kyalami - there are currently three for sale on c&c, not in the UK though...

The ISO had a fantastic 70's interior reminiscent of an airplane with the prominent auto shifter. Didn't take a picture unfortunately but found this one instead

That silver Lele might well be the one I saw for sale at a garage next to Kettering station in the mid 1980s. They weren’t asking much for it, but I was more than my school kid pocket money.

Needs a black wheel and handbrake handle, but that is very cool.

928 auto shifter was specifically modelled on the 747 thrust dooberry.

Well the bloke who did it had presumably never seen the cockpit of a 747. smile

The Lotus Sunbeam is worth a mention here too, no?

All black Lele interior, aside from the floor mats - very nice...

Yes - and they look like Innocenti items to me, I've got a couple in my Mini spares stash somewhere.
