That is (IMHO) extremely horrible.
I quite agree, but in their day these Panthers cost big money. Based on an XJ6 donor I think.

Billy Connolly had one in the 70s. He used to cut about the village he lived in just north of Glasgow in it.

No picture as was driving, but on way into work this morning at 7am, I was following a Triumph TR8 (TR8 decals on the back) but was FHC and RHD so likely a TR7 V8 conversion, V-reg with twin pipes and a grumbly Rover soundtrack, youngish guy driving it as well cool

Seen today on the Cotswold Economy Drive.

This Alpine won the French Ladies Rally Championship when new. It was originally white. It has an 1800cc engine and around 180bhp.

Not part of the Economy Drive! I followed this 2012 registered Foden steam wagon for a while.

At the start, with a full tank, one declares what their fuel consumption will be. At the end the car is filled up and the fuel consumption worked out and compared to the estimate. MSA don't allow the event to be competitive, so there are no winners or losers, it's all for fun, 110 miles of beautiful Cotswold countryside to admire along with a lot of desirable classics. I estimated 31.7 and actually did 32.5.
I did that once and estimated a reasonable 10mpg in the Jaaaaag allowing for some spirited driving, only made about 8 though!

2012 registered? Presumably steam road locomotives have more relaxed exhaust regulations. (And good thing too cloud9 )

I've noticed quite a lot of steam engines of various kinds (including miniature ones) seem to suddenly have registrations from around this period. Haven't found out why, yet.

No photo as I was driving - spotted a gold TR7 convertible at Dunchurch crossroads this morning driven by an elderly looking gent grinning like a Cheshire cat. An hour or so later I saw an orange MGB Roadster with a matching factory hardtop nearby.

Lovely original-looking Triumph 2000 in the car park at Chatsworth House yesterday ...

Quite how the paint would have that shine after 37 years though ... looked great though amongst the modern throng.
