This was beautiful - but small! Considered a big car in its day …

I saw one of those on the M25 yesterday - it looked oddly small

I'm in Paris for a couple of days, so a few classics spotted so far include many old Minis, a gorgeous white Peugeot 404 Cabriolet, a tidy looking E21 316 and my favourite, a 1960s Alfa 2600 Spider in red.

No pics as I was in a restaurant smile

It didn't go up the strip, was just in the visitors car park. I won't derail the thread with lots of pics of dragsters but the one that made me laugh most was this Volvo hitting 185mph, just seemed very incongruous!

I've seen that car before .

Loos like the same one .

8 years ago , at Power Big Meet .

Vasteras ,Sweden , 2014 .
I wonder if they drove it all that way .

I drove all the way .

Some great cars at the Haslemere Show today.

I've waited ages to see a Ferrari 330.....

Only for another one to arrive at the same show....

Both on E plates so I guess 1966

Great to see them being used

Sad old git mode on now - E plate was issued from 1 January 1967 to 31 July 1967.

I probably remember it because my first car was on an E plate!

Shame it was a MK2 Cortina though.

Mk2 Cortina, you say? Lovely example (with 2.3 engine) parked up in Ramsey during TT practice:

Have to agree about the Mk5 'Tina being sharper than it's successor, the Sierra wasn't truly accepted until the Cosworth appeared though I always liked the XR4.

I wish you would, they’re typically classic and they’re very cool.

On Sunday 29th on the way from Aberdeen to Glasgow have seen some exceptional motors, all going in the opposite direction unfortunately.

a brown Bristol 410
a black Ford GT 40 parked in the caffe carpark between Dundee and Stonehaven. Turned around to take a photo and it was gone...
a blue Countach
A black Lancia Delta Integrale
and finally a black 70's TVR convertible.

Managed to snap those ones though

Walked out of St.Margarets station this morning and the first thing I saw was a rather lovely blue early '30s Aston Martin pulling away.
No pictures unfortunately.

I've never seen a Mk1 Granada with a body kit.

I'm 52.
Really? People were rivetting body kits to all kinds of junk back in the ‘80s and ‘90s. Maybe it was a South Bristol thing. I wish I’d photographed it. Ashton Court Estate, Sunday afternoon - Max Power mayhem.
My God, I’d forgotten all about the Ashton Court car scene back then. What on earth would all the people who use it now have made of that? To be fair it’s probably best that all the picnic’ers, cyclists and young kids aren’t mixing it with rodded XR3s razzing through top to bottom, but that was then and this is now.

Credit to anyone who’s keeping a mk1 Granny on the road, whatever the appearance.

I think a Granada of any age would’ve been a bit posh for Artcliffe an’ Wivvywood, and that’s as someone who has bought more than one car from the depths of those hallowed suburbs biggrin

And Ashton Court in the 80s/90s - remember it well as I used to cycle through there a lot - always a few using it as a test track!

Anyway, to take your mind off those halcyon days, have a very tidy 328 GTS…

Possibly my favourite car shape - a 308/328 would definitely be in any PB Collection.

Agreed. Although the F355 also holds a place in my heart.
