COOL CLASSIC CAR SPOTTERS POST! (Vol 3)
Discussion
A RHD 250GT SWB is INCREDIBLY rare - apparently only 10 of the 14 made were imported into the UK. The wipers don't look right and the door mirrors seem to be attached to the A pillar rather than the door itself - and I'm note sure the originals had a passenger door mirror.
If it is genuine then it's worth a lot of money - the one below sold for £7.4m in 2010.

The cars originally came with door mounted mirrors or frame mounted mirrors or neither. They are all bespoke, all slightly different and have been restored/altered since built.TR4man said:
Can't compete with that I'm afraid, but I did see a well used R129 not a million miles from that possible 250 SWB.
I used to have one, did galactic miles in it for very little cost - ca £500 year in year out servicing, plus a new set of tyres every couple of years- and I still miss it. The hardtop in particular is a well-engineered dream compared to the POS on my Alfa Spider S4 (for which I chopped it in), although the Spider is a much nicer car to chuck around the twisty bits.
Don't care for the wheels on this one, though...

Well it’s not every day you see one of these going past your bedroom window. Apologies for the poor quality photos, but I was trying to hang my phone out of the window. It sounded very nice as well

The thickness of the A post, and the angle of the windscreen look correct to me (Z3 based replicas tend to have thicker A posts, and the windscreen is raked at a steeper angle) - I think it's genuine.
Yes, it’s real. Reg is SWB 622 and it belongs to John Goodwin. He lives near Newcastle and has quite a few Ferrari’s, many of which he competes in.Need For Tweed said:
