It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay. It's museum peice/artwork now, which is a shame. Id rather pay to see it pounding round a track.
There is a picture in the Telegraph today of Stirling's son, who is a spitting image of his father, plus Stirling's grand daughter in the car so not entirely wrapped up in cotton wool.

I feel privileged to have seen Sir Stirling drive it at the Goodwood Festival years ago with Jenks in the passenger seat.

But I can understand why he didn't seem to be in a hurry - he was probably under strict orders!

We went over a hump-backed bridge. Jenks had given me the signal that it was OK. We went over this damn thing at 150 or 160mph. In practice, you see, we probably hadn’t gone any faster than 120mph. Well, at 160 we took off and the bloody thing was flying. It was a dead straight road, but I knew it was a bit dodgy. We were airborne for quite a few seconds. The steering obviously went a bit light… and we landed and Jenks and I looked at each other and just went [rather quizzical expression crosses his face]. We certainly had our moments…

I have a cool Mille Miglia artwork of Moss and Jerks in 722, signed by both of them.

NSX @ Eurotunnel this morning:

Edited to add: also spotted a Renault Fuego on a Belgian motorway mid-pm, somewhere near Spa.

These continue to look utterly awesome - and I still want one, and still can’t afford one!

Anyway, bit of a cheat as in a museum, but as race cars these always look great…

I’ve got a few more from the visit and will put them here later

2+2 - restored a few years ago and sold for £19,400 at Brightwell’s auction in 2017. I remember seeing it for sale at Brightwell’s in about 2014 - in unrestored condition … think it went for about £3500 …

Also sold my KH Classics but I know not when …

Think it had a Kh classics sticker in the rear window, thought it was 4star but I'm half blind so didn't really see...was being enjoyed by dad and son, sounded great and smelt nice too...

nice spot, it looks indeed like a late Superformance Daytona coupe (I like those), those come finally without the rear side window air scoops, which in some cases on other brands replica blow of at high speed and in most replica cases did nothing but breaking the airflow hehe

A Brantz rally computer I guess - no problem to me, looks like the car's being used as intended.

Proper Zakspeed Turbo Capri at a Belgian service area this afternoon, one of between 150 and 200 ever built. They had a three-litre V6, turbocharged, the full X-Pack “aero” kit, deep-dish RS alloys (not here), the RS1600i-style seats and were very cool.

Accompanied by a modified early Mk1

Very nice Turbo Capri. Different to the normal X pack body, the deeper front spoiler is bolt on and was designed to be used with the double rear spoiler.

The engine on the Turbo is unusual, not actually a 3.0 litre but a carburettor 2.8 Cologne with a turbo.

(Ford recommend against using the double rear spoiler on a non X pack Capri unless the rare RS rubber front spoiler extension was fitted.)
